How and where to make/place deck braces

I am scratch building my 1st build a Advance MK1 and need help in the design and size and placement for my deck braces. I pulled the AYMA construction info off internet but they do not have much detail in the shape or size or placement of them.
I am sure I can take 1/8in or a smaller ply and laminate CF or just fiberglass to it.
Also what is added to the epoxy to be called thinned epoxy which is used to waterproof the wood?
Thanks for any info Tim H

You can thin epoxy with 10% isopropyl alcohol.

That is 90% epoxy to 10% alcohol. But you do need the 92% isopropyl, not the 80%. The 80% has too much water and weakens the epoxy.

I thin mine with Denatured Alcohol in the can. Walmart has it...
