Jurgen I also agree that perhaps my first post was a little misleading. The Gymstar is for someone moving on from Rudder elevator, so truly an aerobatic trainer. The Wilga is a lovely looking model, and a flat winged version with ailerons was also considered as a project before the Gymstar was born.

Incidentally though the Gymstar flies slower than the Wilga in the videos, and that without flaps, with flaps its as slow as any F3P model

Great model ! I'm suprised how good a high wing plane like this one can do aerobatics.

Hats off to Andy on this fantastic airframe - never mind trainer, Gaz had an extreme snap-flap mix in today and the manoeuvres were insane to say the least - 2 servo wing is the way to go for unusual flight performance.

Well done Rob for kitting this - and good to see all the positive feedback on the colour scheme, It's lovely, but then I am biased as the graphic artist

This plane simply works at all levels... it flew both C and B schedules today at a standard that I'd be happy to attain at EIM level. Then it went on to do KE square loops and snap-flap loops in a small space.

After all that, it can still be handed to a newbie and flown in a relatively small space... a breath of fresh air.

Using HS-35's all round, cheap Turnigy motor/esc and a 300 2S pack the RTF weight can in a bang on 130grms.

Awesome fun and something a little different
Could you give me a link to the motor and esc?
Also what size prop are you using
Thx in advance

Is Gym-Star available in US? I'd love to buy one for the $53.00 or so dollars but I can't cope with the $61.00 shipping.
