How is the waterproof multi coming along? Curious to see how that one works out for you..

Aquacopter - I was waiting for new ESCs from HK. Got them now maybe solder them all up tonight (that will take a couple hours .. sigh). Got my new Hakko soldering station - should make this go much easier. Might have a bad motor too, so will have to soldering up one of my spares. Oh yeah last time I fired her up there was a short circuit somewhere also which wasn't there during earlier tests. More sh&t to solve.

If a leaf blower would work, why not a quad hovering a foot over the deck?

It will just blow the snow around in a whirl. But should be fun to try, as long as all holes are sealed so the electronics don't get wet.

well, since i got a ton of 900 mhz video gear i decided to order a blue beam & rhcp patch set for it, i'll see how it works out, looking forward to the increased penetration power, since i already have a 1.5W video tx for it should be an improvement over the 5.8, i'll mount it on the multi of course

1.5watts on 900! Maybe if I stand on a big hill around here I could tune in and watch your plane over summerland from Victoria

polix, is it distance you're after, or going through obstacles ? My ground tests showed me that 1.3 has the best penetration and distance close to ground. OTOH, in hte air I can do 7 km on 900mhz with just 200 mW.

On my tricopter I found that 1.3 300 mW was very clear at 1km with CP antenna. Of course with 1.5 watts, it should be pretty good going through objects, but be carefull with the big antennas near trees so you don't get stuck on a limb
