Redneck Zephyr Build - Page 54 - RC Groups
Jan 29, 2013, 09:50 PM It's not going to build itself Even though it is the closest thing to a sled that I have flying right now, my scale tops out at only 16oz. Tom
 Jan 29, 2013, 09:52 PM Registered User 16oz that's for tidily winks.

You could make your own balance scale Tom

1) Get a sturdy stick or pole and with some rope tie a bucket at each end.
2) Tie another piece of rope in about the middle of the contraption and hang it up in the garage somewhere. Make sure it is balanced horizontal when both buckets are empty.
3) Toss the Zephyr in one bucket and then add 12oz weights in the other bucket until the Zephyr bucket goes up. In redneck, a 12oz weight is called an unopened Budweiser.
4) After enough unopened Budweiser are in the bucket that that the Zephyr rises, open the last can of bud and take a sip. place back in bucket and check to see if Zephyr and bucket of bud are level, if not, sip and repeat until bud and zephyr are perfectly balanced.
5) Weigh your can of opened Budweiser on your 16oz scale and count how many unopened cans of bud are in the bucket.
6) ... not quite sure how to teach a redneck to do math, but when someone asks how much the Zephyr weighs tell them how many cans of Budweiser you used as well as how many ounces the opened can was.
7) Drink the Budweiser.
EDIT: 8) After drinking the bud, determine how drunk you are. You can repeat process for all your other planes and create your own scale. (i.e. Thisuns ah pussy, Thisuns ah Sunday after noon, Thisuns fubar, etc)

Still using that Coke scale from college huh?
Jan 29, 2013, 11:43 PM It's not going to build itself Too much work that way Jonathan! I walked into the deli department of my grocery store and put it on their scale. (after asking permission) 3.37lbs. X16= 53.92 oz. A lot lighter than I thought it would be. Tom Last edited by TRISME; Jan 30, 2013 at 12:02 AM.

I left San Juan about 8:15 tonight, I should have called you. The deli girl stared me down after asking me what it was that I wanted to weigh.
Tom
who stole his wife's Weight Watcher's scale
Jan 30, 2013, 12:22 AM It's not going to build itself I'm happy it's on the lighter side, for flying at Lilly's. It probably won't plow a field more than once though.
