For the info of other Wasp fbl owners out there, I've answered my own question by experimentation. This is what I found out: Turning the top dial to the right increases the 3 axis gyro's control over the helicopter(tendency to keep it level), turning the bottom dial to the right quickens and increases the response closer to centerstick. So I was wrong about the top dial just controlling head -holding.
