Thanks for the support! I'm back, they de-suspended me

They are on HK's site now. $30.00 for the Tx and $20.00 for the Rx

Now unless I'm wrong ( which the wife says I am all the time) doesn't it say there is a default program?

Ctrl-C Ctrl-V error I guess. Unless they take the time, like Melih, to flash every module.

I thought I saw this UHF system would work with a hk $50 radio plug and play

It would be interesting to get this combo to test and use
For such a low price

well they say:

The default code utilizes 3 channel frequency hopping. If you would like to use a different protocol, you can write your own hopping codes or simply download one of the many pre-written Open LRS code sets already available.

I kind of read thru that they flashed some code there already. And likely every module with the same packet ID:s / channels. This would be pretty dangerous for the users who may use it without reflashing.

Also one thing they may have failed is that the voltage regulator on TX may overheat when used with e.g. 9X which feeds 12V directly into the module.

EDIT: this is not problem with most firmwares but with thundead and openlrsng at 4800 baud transmit almost all the time the reg. can not take it.

Still those prices... they are even lower than I expected.

Hey Nick_P,

Make sure you do a youtube review on it when you finally get the chance to test drive it.

Hmm... I am no programmer, and I dont even know what Ardiuno is as a program.

For those in my boat who are looking for a simple setup for a 4ch UHF, do yall reckon this not the best fit? I am just looking to get better range with my dx6i, and 5.8gz video setup on a bixler, and then adding something like cyclops osd.

Looks like this may create some headaches heh...

Well the problem is you are probably going to have to set your own frequency channels and header because otherwise if someone else in the neighborhood has the same module he would be able to control your plane aswell. Besides the standard OpenLRS firmware isn't really made for long range.. So you are basically required to also buy a 3.3 V programmer. I might write some code to bypass the arduino software and make it all point and click, but I wouldn't trust on that.

It seems those come with arduino bootloader so only a 3v3 ftdi (or equivalent) is needed.

I also ordered a pair to verify my code on them.

I have great ideas to make openlrsng real easy for end user and a normal user wont need to do anything in sw but just load it up using arduino. Advanced users can connect to 'service mode' via serial monitor to get more choice.
