I recommend to whoever has a U816 to balance their props. It makes a world of difference with this quad. The Ladybird props are already balanced. But others work as well once balanced.

This little Quad is not the greatest but its fun. The V939 is even more touchy.
Bottom line Funsville !! I disliked both of these but made friends with them and fly decent. Mix it up with some F/P helis and enjoy.

Possibly the battery went bad. it may be getting enough amps to power the led but when the motors try to take power the battery cant handle it and the low voltage cutoff wont let the motors power up.
if thats not the problem you can get the control board from t-mart for about $17 new and you will have worries.

My U816B mods

Some customizations I made to my U816B quad:
  • Canopy removed - "sponge protector" is 2-3 times lighter
  • Extended transmitter sticks - from chopsticks and electric tape
Now it is easier (at least for me) to fly it indoor. Will test outdoor flight soon too.

Tri-Quad-Hexa-Octo-copters!!
Hi Z,
Nice to see someone else using the lightweight protective foam canopy
Fly safe!
Cheers,

foam will not protect the electronics if you crash bad.

@ yogo - check for wire connections.
