Okay,
here is my first day of flying.
Two sessions, same spot, great weather, just a lil brise = perfect!

I was grounded since January due to Illness and later the covid19 crap.
Started with the always perfect flying PZ Wildcat to retrain my thumbs.
The first and every other flight with all the models were just wonderful!

Chances are:
You gonna love it for what it represents.
A slow docile plane with good scale looks.

Happy maiden to come

Thanks Cap'n! Did the LG mod and having some fun decorating her up a little! Putting larger foam wheels on as we don't have a nice closely mowed field to fly from. Anyway, this long thread makes for interesting reading from a lot of guys who love the Moth

Yes, about 15min away,
Just can't fly my zero or other planes with retracts from there.
Grass is taking care of most of the time but its not a smooth surface, not to bad either.

Isn't it time for you to take a building building brake and go flying?

Thanks,
and how about yourself?
What's your current flying situation in terms of any lockdown and of course your hangar situation?

Happy landings

All good here. No issues with flying due to corona. I fly at a local baseball field when not in use and the University soccer field nearby. These days neither is being used at all. In the hangar and flying at the moment 4 quads and 3 electric planes. Nitro this season

HI everyone
So took my tiger up for second flight today and it really was rolling to right, did this last flight as well. WHen I landed I looked it over and I see that the left wing is has a pretty good down twist.
Has anyone else had this prob ? Any ideas on fixing it ?
thanks

Hi Jasonak,
that could be a number of reasons, I haven't heard of that, or don't remember it.

Pics could be helpful, maybe?
Can you give us a bit more information please.
Is it only one wing or both?
Is/are the wings straight when rigging and other attachment points are loosened (or better, detached)?
If yes, check the rigging wires, you might have them in the wrong spot?
If no, I'd lay the wings on a flat surface and try to reshape the left side of them with a hot water treatment.
Wrap the left side in a bath towel and slowly pour hot water over the towel. Not to hot, boil it and let it sit for a bit before pouring.
If the water is to hot it may cause an alligator skin effect. Less heat takes a bit longer, more pouring but usually avoids that side effect. And then there is always sandpaper and paint.

The wings have a tad dihedral so eyeball the result.

Good luck with the inspection and fixing.

Rigging wire would be my suggestion too. Check them that these are correctly fitted and there is sufficient tension in rigging wire. They don't need to be drum tight but a reasonable tension is needed.

Cheers

Hi
thank you for your reply, Ill check the rigging ive been crazy busy.
Its top wing only,
Ill take loose rigging and try the water or see if loosening that makes a difference, its the back edge of wing.

Okay that's a bit more to work with,
then my guess would be that you simply confused the short wires that build the X in the outer struts.
They have a different length, per side, and are a bit tricky to install.

Good luck.
