Has anyone that has this looked into how hard it would be to make a Y6 out of this?

I believe Y6 is possible. Just got mine today. Assembled and ready to be outfit. I took a time lapse of the build. I'll be uploading that as soon as it renders. The frame is awesome! I believe extending the landing gear would be as simple as replacing the 16mm CF down tube with a longer one. Also if you want a larger frame diameter, extend the arms with longer CF arms. All in all an easy mod. I'll update as I add things to it.

Hey don't talk about my bird that way, lol.

I honestly think they look better than a flat six and orientation is killer. Not even going to get into how much more stable they are vs flat.

I have decided to run my FY680 on 4S 8000mAh batteries anyway.

What motors and ESC's do you all recommend?

I have found this "all included" set (within EU) but I find it WAY to expensive.

Thanks a million

If you care...... I'll be using the Maytech 3536-910 motor with 400mm leads and the Maytech 40A Opto V1 ESC. I'm thinking I'm looking at 5kg lift with those and 12x4.7 props on 4S. Going to be around $300.00 for the package deal from a local guy. Radical RC, If you're in the US, Dave has it all.

Thanks.

The products looks great, but I can't see the prices or place an order on-line.

Peter
PS: I am located in Denmark (across the pond)
