Come on, you can still fly with snow on the ground! If you crash, just let it dry out for a day.

And hey, to each his own, but I have never liked those 'bug' canopies - much prefer the stock X200 canopy... Nice 'quad-port' though

My eyes aren't the greatest either - I've actually swapped the arms on my quad so the black blades and white LED's are facing forward - colored blades and red/blue LED's face me. It totally makes a difference for orientation (at least for me it does).

Ummmm, just did a Google search for 'Dekosemming' and the ONLY result was a link back to your post Heli Pad

Care to share what that means?

Well, Dmack is pretty new to RCG, so I don't blame him for not knowing what Kosemming is. But G, you have no excuse! LOL

Anyway, just click on the Kosemming link and read up on it. Be sure to follow the individual links to follow the story and see all the pictures.

Click. The lights came on.

De, as undoing, and Kosseming, as in filling you trees with quads, equals DeKosseming, or removing said quads from trees.

What a difference 2 little letters make . . . .

That's pretty funny Heli Pad. I tried Googling dekosemming, kosemming, kosemm and kosem, all with no (helpful) results

I have read a LOT of threads on RCG and have never heard of it. Don't know how anyone could have figured it out without reading the specific Syma X1 thread...

Anywho, thanks for the solution to the mystery!

I guess I am now an official 'Kossemer' AND 'Dekosemmer'

I'm glad that we are now on the same page. It was a lot funnier when we were following the whole story as it unfolded over the 3 week period on the WLToys Beetle Quad Review Thread. It was, for a while, the most talked about story. So, we just turned Kosem into a verb and now it describes the act of getting a quad stuck high up on a tree. LOL. Anyway, you only get this in the RCG forum. If you use it on HeliFreak or something, they'll probably report you. LOL.

I 'assume' you're talking about the 3 pin motor arm connector that plugs in the flight control board...

You have 3 choices as I see it:
  1. Try to find a complete replacement arm - good luck with THAT!!
  2. You could pull out the pins from the connector and try to solder the wires back on and then put them back in - not easy either
  3. You could buy a replacement plug and solder it on to the existing ends of the wires you now have - I'm NOT 100% sure, but either these or these should work. Your LHS might have them (take the quad with you!). I did a rough measure of my plugs and I'm pretty sure (but again not 100%) that the 1.25 version is correct. Just make sure you get the wires in the correct orientation and order - look at the other arm plug opposite it (all my plugs are red towards outside of circuit board, black in middle and green towards the center of the board).
Good Luck!!
