Good business for you, Gary and DJI; win/win.

Yep, I like Century. They always return calls and email. Paul is a wonderful guy; he doesn't leave until he returns all calls within the day. They have been in business for over 25 years, and Peter keeps an watchful eye on things.

This was my first flight with the Phantom and the heavy HERO attached... The Phantom Assistant had not been released yet so there was no manual mode.

Now I want to get some NAZA H units for a couple of my Heli's so my wife can start flying. She is having a blast with the Phantom.
Smartest man in the forum right there, get the misses involved.

Hey Bo - What do you think of that 5.8GHz FPV system? I see that you are flying with LOS (line-of-sight) obstructions. Do you loose video or get any kind of snow at all? Just trying to decide between 5.8GHz and maybe 1.2GHz or 900MHz. Lower will work better but the antennas are getting bigger.

Nice flying there on the Crest! I live about 10 miles South of there.

In general I love the FatShark, but I did get snow when i got behind that hill. if you listen to the motor sound you can hear me gunning it when I realized I was about to loose vision and probably have the Phantom go to failsafe next.

We should catch a cup of coffee sometime. or even better do a flight date on the crest. time to get video of a Phantom up there.

Hello all

I just ordered a Phantom the other day, and I hope to have it in the next couple of days. I've been searching around to see if it's possible to remove the stock receiver and install a spektrum receiver so that I can use my DX8 Trx.

I just now found this thread, and I've not had a chance to read through the many pages, I did a search to try and find a way of installing a spektrum receiver but got no search results. I have found results for installing a Futaba receiver, even found the YouTube videos, so I know that it's possible to install a different receiver. But the Futaba installations use the bus connector, and the spektrum receivers don't have that option. Does anyone know where I might be able to find some instructions on how I might be able to do this? I should have time tomorrow to go back through this thread and see what I can find, and I might also be able to figure out how to do this once I get my Phantom and open it up.

Thanks.

How would you go about doing this? I notice a severe wobble on descent and thought "oh well" but if I can get rid of it...
