I'll bet his customer shorted the tail motor wiring on the heatsink.
The heatsink overlaps the end of the motor, and it would be easy
for a novice to overlook the possible short condition.

I would have shortened the heatsink before listing it as a retail solution.
And for that much dough, he should include a set of trimmed main blades
as well.

His listing starts out with "I am a professional R/C Helicopter Technicain."

What exactly does that mean?

Anyone who does not run to the LHS every time they break their
bird, and pay a 19 year old $40.00 / hour to fix it, is a "professional
helicopter technician" in my opinion.

[ EDIT ] The guy's customer was the type of annoying guy that puts
air horns on his vehicle, can't spell, and gives bad feedback freely.
There is a 99.9% chance he messed up the installation.
that tail motor heat sink looks like its from a blade sr,
optimized pinions???does that mean different gearing,,,the tail motor looks like a stk. unit..
looks like a grab bag of assorted parts---would it be cheaper to get the parts yourself??or have the risk of someone else doing it for you???
btw---Im a professional master supreme basket weaver ultra high ranking person ......

I haven't seen 3 weeks on a shipment yet, but there was one order that went just over the 2 week mark. Totally understandable considering the economy shipping and holiday season. We go through and embarassing number of rotors and main inner shafts...here's what I have seen so far...

Ordered Dec 24, Shipped Dec 24, received Jan 7
Ordered Dec 25 ,Shipped Dec 26, received Jan 9
Ordered Jan 11, Shipped Jan 16, received Jan 28 (today! )
Ordered Jan 23, Shipped Jan 26, in transit

Hi,

new to the forum. my first post.

I actually have a ZR Z101. Since it is supposedly a clone of the 9116, I thought I post here. I had a hard time trying to keep it airborne. I noticed that the servo movements do not affect the blades too much and this probably explains that I am not getting much cyclic movements.

Examining the swashplate, I noticed that the swashplate can move freely up and down the shaft - is this normal? If I try to fix the swashplate to the shaft (using my fingers) and then move the servos, I see a much improved blade response.

On a side note, I have the same problem with everyone else with the Z101, namely the transmitter is in mode 4. I have the 9116 PCB and 2.4GHz transmitter on order and will be replacing the PCB on the Z101.

Thanks,

Tom

Well, I received my Rotorhead assembly as I broke the little pins that connect the blades on two of my 9116. Arrhgg!. Got to work and rebuild that assembly, installed it and darn in, it actually flew. :-) inside my living room. Hovering nicely a few battery loads throughout the day. I am liking it more and more ( no mods made). Now I need to replace one of the tails as I the tail motor refuses to cooperate..

Get a CP heli, and you can be chasing the birds,
instead of the other way around...

Then again, birds are pretty dumb, it would more than likely
just end up with dead bird, and severely broken heli

There would definitely be more feathers flying, hehe.
