this dog owner was nice, he gave me 30 bucks for the new lipo and depron foam. the lab used to be a rescue dog so hes got some bad habits.

I know of no place in the USA where it is legal in public to let a dog run loose, therefore they would be responsible to pay for said plane

Well, if it had shorted in the dog's mouth, I bet he wouldn't chase planes anymore! If I ever make it down under, I DO NOT want to go to that town where your airfield is located!!!!!

Hmm. I know plenty of places but I'm way down in Dixie so maybe it's different. For example I take my dog to the beach all the time. We have designated no animal beaches but where I go its kosher to take them and let them run. I consider it common courtesy to keep my dog under control so if I feel there's a situation coming where I can't control her by voice command alone I'll put a lead on her but its not required by law.

To the OP, sorry to hear about your plane. That sucks.

At least he was cool enough to compensate you and take responsibility for his dog's actions.

I don't know how it is pronounced in Australia but Cockburn would be pronounced Co-burn in English.

Note that Australians speak Strine, a variant of English.
