Turnigy 4WD Short Course Truck

I recently purchased a Turnigy 1/10 scale 4WD SCT from Hobby King. I purchased from their USA warehouse and it took about a week to arrive via UPS.

Although it is listed as 1/10 scale it actually is more like 1/8 scale, at least compared to a 1/10 scale Monster Jam truck.

It is a pre-built model, only needing a radio system and battery to get it running. But it does require some going over and tightening, or loosening, of parts.

I installed a Fly Sky radio system and use a 2S LiPo battery. The truck is plenty fast. It will be used to exercise my dog in our backyard.

The steering servo started acting funny. It would turn fast to the left but be very slow to the right. And it only would do this after it had been activated a few times.

I decided to replace it. I had a new T-Pro SG5010 servo and installed it. Now the truck has faster steering and the SG5010 seems plenty torquey.

BTW, the SG5010 case is identical to the Hobby King no name servo that was installed. I am betting that the HK servo was also a SG5010.
