A few of us San Diego guys are headed over to see Dale around 1 PM today. I don't want to shock him with a huge group but thought I'd let everyone know. I hope we can continue to help keep Dale's spirits up and help him continue to make the great progress he's making.

Give him a kiss on the forehead Pismo and tell him to get out of bed the big girl
Give him my best wishes and continue that speedy recovery .

Got your message and sent along your note George. Dale says thanks. I'll get him next time Steve.

Dale looks to be in good spirits and making good progress. I'm sure he's ready to be out of hospitals and back in his home but that will come in time.

We didn't stay too long but got a chance to chat with him, his wife Nancy, and son Jordan. He's being well taken care of and surrounded with love. Nurses, drugs, and pokes and prods too but hey, you take the good with the not so good

We did a little show and tell with Dan's Zephyr fuse he picked up yesterday and showed him the redneck picture of us all holding our planes He had that great Dale smile even though it was filled with teeth tinted a slight green from a swallow test he just took. Why don't we have emoticons with green teeth?

With what you and PhotoShop did in the Redneck thread, green teethed emoticons should be a piece of cake!

Glad to hear Dale is on the road to recovery. Next time you visit, tell him hi from the Pacific Northwest.

How about an update?

I heard something about a fun fly where everyone would fly with zebra stripes.
I just pulled these shrike wings out of the bag this morning.

Jim, Dan and I stopped by to see Dale yesterday. He's looking better and better. still got a tough rehab ahead of him, but had the best attitude ever about it!

His wife and he read the Caringbridge posts everyday, so if you have a chance drop him a line.

Just a quick update on Dale:

Dan (DC812) and I visited with Dale at the rehab center this afternoon and spent about an hour with him before he kicked us out due to BS overload!
I know Jim (Pismo) was there a little earlier and a few family members also showed up to annoy him.
He is doing much better and is in good spirits. He's busy in the mornings with the PT work and you can receive visitors in the afternoons.
Like Greg said, he has a long recovery in front of him and can use every bit of encouragement we can send him.
He's hoping he can improve enough in the next few weeks to be able to use the computer and peruse RCG by himself.
So keep him in your prayers and go spend a few minutes with him if you can.

Made a visit with Dale this afternoon.

Dale was in physical therapy and in high spirits as usual. His right thumb is coming along and he is very eager to fly again. He informed me that he opted out of the Zero build, ha.

What a ride, but he is pushing through in Dale Style.

Thanks for the update Bret! Dale's not exactly out of the Zero party just yet...I think we'll just see how things go.

Dale, if you're iPad'ing this thread...keep at that therapy with your normal gusto because I'm thinking of bringing a transmitter over there to give to your task master so he/she can start working those thumbs a tad more

Talk with you soon,
Jim
