He probably gave up on trying to get zebra stripe sheets in the hospital, so he HAD to come home.

Seriously though, excellent news! I'm sure we are all looking forward to seeing Dale back on the Groups and building the Zero and, of course, flying with him at PSS Fest next year.

I hope Dale is fully recovered by May so I can actually get to meet a bloke who's proven he's 1 tough SOB . He got dealt a bloody horrible hand but played it out and beat it .
And even if he doesn't get out to the hill in May, I still gotta meet this bloke in person Pismo

Looks like Dale caught the afternoon Lear 35 flight to Gillispie and now he's being massaged by a couple of candy stripers at Kaiser.

Just got back from visiting with Dale.
He is resting comfortably in the ICU unit of Kaiser Permanente in San Diego.
His loving wife Nancy is by his side and the familiar smile on his face.
I didn't want to tire him so I didn't stay long.
He looks great for someone who just went through a horrible ordeal.
He will be going through rehab after he's released from the hospital and hopefully he'll be back to his normal self soon.
As a matter of fact I think he'll get a book deal out of this!
He did say he thought it'd be a while before he can toss a plane. I told him he needn't worry since we have a few tossers and we're importing one of the best from Australia next spring.
I know a few people are planning to visit him this weekend so I warned him!
I'm sure he'll be happy to see his friends again and it'll motivate him to get well soon.

Dale, I just found this. I wondered why you weren't chiming into this build and this thread isn't what I'd hoped to hear. We are praying for you and hope this coming year is better! George
