Nice work.
What Turnigy motor is that?

the motor is Turnigy D3542/6 1000KV battery will be 3200 4s and i have 13x4 prop but i think that i will have to buy smaller prop because in manual say max prop is 10x5 ...i have few 9x6 props and i will use it for my maiden flight..

On 3S 13x6 would be my choice for that motor. For 4S 10x5 seems to be the way to go.

I do find that odd; as instinctively I would think more voltage with a 4s than a 3s therefore more power to swing a big prop with more pitch?

However, your advice correlates with what hobbyking state as Prop size: 7.4V/11x7 14.8V/10x5.

Perhaps they are concerned that going the other-way the max current would go beyond 38Amps

---------------------------------------
Battery: 2~4 Cell /7.4~14.8V
RPM: 1000kv
Max current: 38A
No load current: 2.4A
Max power: 665W
Internal resistance: 0.031 ohm
Weight: 130g (including connectors)
Diameter of shaft: 5mm
Dimensions: 35x42m
Prop size: 7.4V/11x7 14.8V/10x5
Max thrust: 1260g

If my memory is good Arm1s indicated the engine esc and prop he used on that great plane.
That can also help

I'm not sure that a 9x6 will be big enough for that plane. The prop diameter give you the torque needed to tow the plane .. (Arm1s used a 12x6 on a turnigy 3639 1100Kv that is a 800W brushless).
The 3542-6 that you plan to use is indicated as 665W with 1250g of thrust with a 10x5 or 11x7 prop.. 9x6 will give less thrust and the Arm1s plane's weight was 1100g... i.e. the plane will fly but may not be able to climb verticaly with your setting.

Are the wings detachable?

Hello,

Thank you for the plan, great work.

Can you please someone tell me, the wings are detachable? If yes, how do they hold together after they are assembled? I have never been able to figure this out:-))

Hi Adam,
Yes they are. The half wings have a couple of threaded shafts fixed in and they are used to fix the wings to the fuselage sides (round plywood reinforcers + nut are drawn on the side view of tve fuselage).
Have a nice evening
