From what I can find never got further than a sketch. How he managed to take a patent out is a puzzle. He produced quite a few similar ideas, all described by the patent office as "ornamental designs"

So then ....does that mean if someone builds a working airframe that it is patent infringement???...lol...or sells one , that he is entitled to profits??? EDIT: If he does hold a patent on a working design then if someone else is to build one for PERSONAL USE then there would be no issue....however if somone was to MARKET said product, then the patent holder is entitled to compensation. In this case there is not any REAL CRAFT, and office had deemed design Ornamental and patent is only good for 7 years...GAME ON!!
(reference to my step-father who holds over 17 patents in machine design. 1 machine in Smithsonian)

If it were me I'd do my own. One thing i see is two intake's on bottom why not all three. just my 2c. PS just a pic you can add thrd edf & pick up intake from each side. By the way this is ww11 cocept.LO

That jet space 1 posted looks sweet. Do it rogue.
Edit. Looks almost like an f86 with engines slapped on horizont stabs. You would need a very beefy tail section to support those 2 edfs.

Not a fighter, but I'm attempting to build one of those with two real EDF's and one dummy EDF (in the middle)...
