turnigy 2wd 1/10 desert buggy/SCT overheat

a certain 35 amp ESC of mine (turnigy 2wd 1/10 sct) cuts out after 2 minutes, i think its the temperature overload safety thingy but it must be faulty because these things are meant to be run for 30 minutes, not 2. its really annoying. anyone know what the problem is or how to fix it? also the motor gets really hot, i dunno if that makes the ESC cut out.

or mabey how to cool them?

the 2wd sct is the same as the desert buggy, just so you know.

update, i took off the wheels and ran the motor full throttle and the motor still gets very hot. so its a motor problem not an esc problem.

What gearing? What battery pack? What conditions (flat pavement, sand, long grass, etc)?

make shure the pinon is not to tight on the spure even the wheel nuts.it could also be a bad motor.

Check for binding anywhere in the driveline, especially the gear mesh on the pinion/spur. It should barely be getting warm on 2s with the stock gearing.
