Don't know, looking at the fan efficiency it might...

I'm impressed so far...I'm recharging my packs and digging out eagle true to confirm the amps...

They seem mighty low

Basically on a twin that's 9lbs of settled thrust for 2200 watts...if everything is confirmed

edit...knew the amps were a little low

4lbs 14oz\6s\70amps\ 25c gens ace...

Different scale too...so it looks commensurate with the 10 blade right now in efficiency

Just not on proper shroud but numbers are good never the less
are you saying your getting more thrust with the 12 blade rotor? with same set up as your 10 blade rotor?

e,

so this is with the L2855-2300kv motor?

If so, I don't think it will take the beating...

I had similar/same numbers with the 2300kv+10 Blade +6s

No, it's a 2856 motor I found for little more than the 2300...I don't think it'll take that kinda beating either

I'll do a unloaded run of the motor and the 2300kv 2855 I have, one of them is off in KV

Has anyone seen this yet?

Change Sun 10 blade 70mm (0 min 52 sec)

Crazy amp draw for a 3200kv motor. I hope that's not the case.

CS12 on L2855-2100 6s

Finally received my CS12 to test out. Balanced the fan and it was pretty close, but it did need balancing. I used the $2 aluminum spinner as well. Mounted everything up and did the fan housing mod PeterVRC detailed: ground some of the case away for the motor wire clearance. Good news - the stock adapter I received seems to run true! So no need to purchase another adapter.
Numbers:
Motor: HK L2855-2100
Batteries: 2 Sky Lipo 2200 40c in series
Run 1, full charge:
1343 watts, 64 amps, 20.81 vm
Run 2, after about 30 seconds of half throttle:
1301 watts, 63 amps
Run 3, after about 45 seconds of half throttle:
1245 watts, 61 amps

Needless to say the motor was quite hot after these runs! Measured 155 F!
Now I need to try out that 2300kv motor on 5s next.

To be able to use those numbers as any form of reference they would need to include thrust.
Though really, it is not even worth anything except as a reference against a 2100kv in a CS10, as in aircraft use terms it would be no use..... it wouldn't last long! hehe

Definitely need to balance that unit it won't last long with those vibrations.

Yeah, you can particularly hear the unbalance at mid-throttle.

I do need to fabricate a thrust stand for myself, good point. This test was just more to see the amp draw - of course these 2100kv motors won't last too long at these amp draws as you've noted before. I'm currently running a 2300kv on 5s with the CS10 in an FMS F-16, but will be trying the CS12 soon if the weather holds here.

155f is pushing it but not burning it up, I've run mine with great success using non high c packs..

I'd theorize the metal spinner helps a little with heat disipation on the shaft where it gets REALLY hot.

I verticle thrust stand is easiest and injects least amount of variables
