Check these for this plane!!

Alright guys so i need help with the alps 1700e, ive looked and looked and i can't seem to find anywhere what servos to use, I also need to know what size prop to use with this. If you can link me to what i need that would be great or give me a variety i could pick from, i wish to order this tonight or tomorrow!! please!! thanks!!

Let me know what you think about these components and can you link me to a good prop? (cheap) I was going to get a 13x7 folding...

Heres everything: (I have a receiver)

(i will reinforce it)

Battery: ( this may be too much but it is all they had in stock, i wanted a 11.1v)

Hi, soccer du25.

I have a Specter 1800 from HobbyKing and it has quite a few similarities though it's a bit lighter and, since it has a V-tail, has yaw control. So? Let's see...

1. I would try and reach NitroPlanes and make sure that the Alps will accept a 35mm motor. It's kind of a heavy sucker too. Planes in this size range often require a 28mm motor but let's assume for the moment that the motor will fit.

2. With a 870 kv motor you will probably want a 4 cell battery to get the RPM up. Personally, I like to get a better power to weight ratio from batteries but I don't see a reason they wouldn't work though I'm a little concerned about running that motor on a 20C battery. I have no idea how much time you spend soaring and how much time under power but something like this one from HK U.S. warehouse might be a better all around choice.

3. I have two of the same servos in a Yak 54 3D and they have worked well so far.

4. I have no idea what size spinner the Alps uses so I couldn't really recommend a prop/spinner combo. As for prop size; I think 13" might be a bit much on 4 cells. It's hard to say because the specs don't include an amp rating. I think i would start with an 11X6" prop and check it with a watt meter to see if it can handle more prop.

If it should turn out that you would need a 28mm motor I can be of more help. Just check out post #8 on this thread. The KDA 22-20L motor is quite happy with up to an 11 inch prop and provides great thrust.

And this is my favorite battery so far. It would limit your powered flying time compared to a bigger one but it's about the most amps I've found at that weight. The HK batteries are a bit less expensive than the HobbyPartz line too. Feel free to ask any questions about my setup either here or on the Specter thread.

You need to try a SEARCH - there are two threads here that cover the ALPS deeply.

For a place to start. People have been there, done that, flown it, crashed it, repaired it.
