Highest Bit-Rate at 1080 60P (Gopro Hero 3 Black Edition)
I did send an email to GOPRO Support on 10Nov but still no answer back yet. maybe they over look or not even know, that's why I would like to ask if anybody has information here...
I currently owns a GPH1, I know the latest GPH3 Black edition can do up to 45mbps with Protune, however, I will mostly use 1080 60P, may I know what is the highest bite-rate on 1080 60P? 12, 24, 28, 35mbps, 45bps or others? I also tested the Sony HX9V which has 1080 60P at 28mbps, the video details from original file are really impressive, especially when the camera passing on trees and glasses in dark area, you will not see any square cased by high compression of lower bit-rate.... I already know the bit-rates on old GPH1: 1080P 1980×1080 30 fps @12 Mbps 960P 1280×960, 30 fps @ 10 Mbps 720P 1280×720, 30 fps @ 7.5 Mbps |

Here is a video I shot using the New GoPro Hero3 Black Edition.
Video was shot using 720 mode at 120fps Video has been slowed down using the free GoPro Cineform software that you can download from Gopro.com to 29.7 to give the smooth slow motion effect
Make sure you watch it at 720 mode to see the true quality of the video. |

why on earth did you slow it down to 15fps??
normal playback is 25 fps ( for pal land) or 30fps ( for ntsc land) when you film at 120 fps you are aready filming at 4x normal speed, which means that when you have to edit it, if you want slow motion, you put your footage on a 25 or 30 fps timeline and your footage will play 1/4 slower, but still keep smooth motion. Anything below 25 fps will result in jerky footage. I still see fisheye effect, can you select field of view in 720 120 mode ? i really hate that fisheye look... |
