Price for airframe and a rough estimate of shipping cost would be helpful.

I don't know either of those (I know Frank, but he's just a friend, not a business partner).

I am guessing the shipping will be more than you want it to be

you guys can also keep an eye on bestvaluerc.com as well, they carry some of the WM's models, but I am not 100% sure if they are going to carry this one.

CNJ3 gave me lots of useful advice to sort out the gear that I'm going to use in my orange Slick. Thanks CNJ3 .

This will be my setup:

Dualsky 4255EA-8 445kV, 246g, 1044W motor
APC 14x7E prop
Turnigy Plush 60A ESC
4 x Hitec 5245MG servos
2 x Turnigy 3S2200 40C lipos in series, effectively giving 6S 2200 40C

NO SPINNER

It's winter, and I am planning to go to a gas plane. Looks like a cool plane, but unless I start losing planes to crashes, I think I am full up on this size.

not exactly this plane, but another WM bird
as you said, bigger flies better

my edge is ready now, AUW 4530g with gens ace 8s 4000mAh 25c
without spinner and pants the AUW is even 140g less

concerning your prop for the foam slick, I think the 14x7 is too small for this size of model, and it is a bit too small for the kv of your motor IMHO, a 15x7 or 15x8 is the standard prop for 50" planes

cheers
Denis

Thanks for the tips, Denis. I have plenty of 14x7 props but no larger props, so I will make use of what I have and see how it goes. My previous experience with a 140g Dualsky motor had me using a smaller prop than Dualsky recommended, so I have assumed it will be the same with this larger Dualsky motor. I suspect that my kV rating will be ideal for my flying style that features a lot of full throttle...... time will tell.

BTW beautiful Edge .

It's here!!!

My Slick was delivered today. The box it was packaged in is very strong; perhaps the strongest box I have ever received a foamy in. The kit seems to be completely undamaged, so I'm off to a good start .

I did a test fit of the main pieces and took a few photos. This kit is huge and the orange and black colour scheme looks fantastic. I am very impressed by this kit .
