Flew my eAllegro today. I had been flying it off a high start all year but got some replacement electric stuff for Christmas. So I flew class B today. Did a ~29 second run per the rules. Just a sled ride down more or less. Total flight time including motor run was 6:20.

Thanks Merrill for organizing this. Also thanks for opening up this event to electric gliders. Although I rarely flew electric gliders in 2012 and that trend will probably continue in 2013 on New Years day I am frequently visiting family and often don't have a string launch suitable field at my disposal.

Ryan Woebkenberg flying today in Carmel, IN, USA.

Thanks Larry and Joe,

It seemed like a long time until things started falling apart and then the time moved pretty quick. It's half of what Larry and John Baird got a couple years ago though so I was hoping for at least another hour. ;-))) it was a lot of fun and that's all that counts.

Harbor was under 50 degrees most of today.
Managed 44 min. Tom Sherwood did better.

Weather in North Texas was crap... didn't fly but joined a power club close to home. There are a few glider guys there and they'll have no problems with my winch or high start.

Congrats to the winners.

If Larry Jolly only managed 14 minutes, I don't feel so bad.....

Thanks Mr. B.

Photos of the Aquila are by Forrest Barton, others are by John Eaton. Pentax K-5, 70-210 Zoom, ISO 6400 for the night pictures, 100 for day I think. Paul Torgerson's Gentle Lady. John Vance's 4X4, Forrest's Sagitta XC, John Eaton's Aquila Grande. The night pictures are of Forrest's Wanderer 72, taken on both sides of midnight 12/31 and 1/1.
