I would love to see a Yak-1 offered by someone. I would settle for a Yak-3 or Mig-3.

Hi Trumps,
RAAF in fact had two squadrons operating with P39's. No. 23 sqn. had seven; No. 24 sqn. also had seven. No. 25 sqn. was earmarked for the P39 also, but, in fact did not receive any. I think that the P39 was probably one of the cleanest looking aircraft of WWII. I have previously, many years ago, had a TopFlite P39 and a Sterling P63, when I flew with oily hands, t/x, pants and everything else that attracted castor. Cheers, Rob. |

Scott has an aversion to Japanese planes. Maybe he doesn't like sushi.

Just my opinion of course but a nice Typhoon would have produced a commonwealth plane that would sell much better than these EDF's and also be a plane that is rarely modelled. Just my .02 Alan |

I have as much interest in the P-39 as all the other factories that thus far have not made one, surely that tells you something? Every plane has it's fans, the P-39 just doesn't have that many of them possibly as much as anything because it was a lousy Warplane, it also lacks certain other qualities that for commercial reasons, I am not going into, as I have said before, it may get made by us....eventually.....but priority it certainly isn't.........oh, and to whomever said I have an aversion to Japanese planes....yup, that's why I own a 90" Zero?! |

But just to suggest something a little different, how about an EE Canberra? Certainly a long lived plane and widely used by many nations. Even the US bought them (what was the American designation again?) |

a Canberra would be fantastic, i agree it covers a lot of bases with regards to operators, the Yanks designated it as the B-57. would not be the easiest design topull off in foam though i fear, the location of the engines in the wings would require some effort. make a nice PSSS as well with that beaufiful wing!
Cheers Craig |
