Put two flights on it today, mainly getting the tail right. Strangly three times on the second flight it shut itself down on spool up for just a second and spooled back up, the electronic we're fine on my HK 450 so it must be from the tight gears. Guess that will be tonight's project.

Does it fly like a bigger bird swinging those 360mm blades?

Put another few flights on it today, hands were shaking lol. I just love the sound of it. It does feel smoother with the bigger blades, basically the same setup as my 450 but a much more stable feel.

The gens ace 6s 1200 doesn't seem to give me much flight time at this point, thought it might be due to the tight gear contact creating extra drag. I did a little filing to the frame to release some pressure on the gears which turned out great, very smooth feeling, but still a short flight time, maybe 3 minutes.

Farmer, I put my first two flights on the 6HV today, wow was it way more intimidating then the smaller ones. I can see why everyone says the larger helis fly better though, and much easier to see. I can definitely see a 7HV somewhere in the future.

Sorry, no video on it, wouldn't know where to start. It would be nice to be able to look back and see what all was happening right before I plant one.

It will be a notch under Align Quality. Keep in mind Gaui is a bit better then align. I dont have this heli yet, But i believe ALZRC to be the same Quality as tarot. With my Tarot 450 pro v2 the only change outs I had to do were soft frame screws. And soft front and rear t.t gears.

Troy: Any chance You have a 450 ? If so a couple pics for side by side comparison with your new 480 Would be great.

Here's a few for comparison. The 480 has a lot heavier screw set over the align, the bearings felt about as good as my HK 450. Also the main gear teeth are at an angle instead of straight like the align.

Excellent pics troy. Much appreciated.. I did not realize the 480 comes with slant gears. This explains why it is so quiet in flight. My 550 has slant gears, That heli is whisper quiet compared to my others. Good to know Info troy. Thanks for the heads up

Looks like you could easily use a shorter mainshaft on the 6HV, those grip links look really long! Nice though!

Troy...thx for the build and review. I recalled seeing that promo video but I wasn't certain on the size compares to a 450 pro. Seems like it should be almost as stable as a 500 but with cheaper replacement parts..except for the tail back. Is the boom and that fiberglass covering integrated into one piece?

Hey ridge racer, the tail boom is just a fiberglass hollow cover, the tail boom tube is still there with the servo control rod under it and then the tail cover slides over it.

Since it just uses 450 Pro mechanics, anyone should be able to do an easy stretch on their 450 by getting the longer tail boom and TT shaft.
