Micro Horten VII

Threw this little VII together one day. I'm wondering if the 6x15mm 1s brushed motors are enough...

It glides great, just chucked it a few times. I somehow got washout that looks correct Its made from 6mm depron and card stock. White water slide decal sheet was used for the white wing panel as a finish. The rest of it is simulated wood. Tan base sprayed on and then drybrushed with a few shades of brown.

Also, what should the thrust line be? I have it now, its parallel with the flat bottom of the airfoil... Do these need down thrust?

That's a little beauty!Raimund has 4.5-5.5* down thrust on the plan, which is close to the line of the bottom rear.I'll have to go to tapatalk to put up a pic.

Hope you can see that. The centre chord is 410mm,cg 235mm from the nose.
I'm not happy with the motor mounts on the trailing edge, mine is sulking in a corner waiting for me to move the motors up to an internal bulkhead and extend the prop shafts.
Did you take any pics while you were building?
Regards Stuart.
Note to self- make sure the camera is square on to the subject

The lighting really does make this look like its made of wood. Beautiful little plane, hope to see it in action.

Thanks for the compliments guys Its pretty easy to simulate wood finishes once you learn the formula. this was not even that great of a job, I just grabbed what was in front of the paint cabinet!, lol

Very cool. You know you can make the V-stabs smaller if you place them on the under side.

the things that look like V-stabs, are the motor housings as per the original. Though it would be interesting to know how much effect they have.
