Help with MK1

hey guys first time back in a while.I just bought what I now realize is a Kyosho MK1 bike on ebay for under 40 bucks.I thought it was an HOR but after studying the pic its the older bike.I was searching for parts and found a bunch but after reading it seems the older parts will not fit on the newer bike.can anyone steer me in the right direction as to what parts and hop ups i can use. it looks like it has an oild front shock on it.thanks

congrats on the new bike.
make sure you post some pics when you get a chance.
what parts do you need?
wheels and tires will interchange, rear shock is the same, so is the chain. The front forks/triple clamps can be interchanged. fairings will interchange,

I saw that bike, I almost bid on it myself but it looked a little too rough.
How are the electronics in it?
With the price that one went for, maybe I should put mine on ebay instead of in the classifieds here.
anyway, if you want parts, I've got some in the classifieds

When the original driver went to pieces for me, I put a "stick figure" made of pipe cleaner in a Big Jim overall, glued the bikers head, hands and boots to the suit. it looked ok but was too heavy. Now I run the "Mr Light Venoman", he's 6 grams!

you can get the HOR rider on ebay pretty cheap you could make it non moving, and zdad's Mr Light Venoman is totally cool.

ok guys since this bike is pretty rare im definately making it a static model.I love to restore things and make them better.I will add some hop-ups mostly Kyosho.so since it will be relegated to shelf can the HOR rider suffice just for visual?

if you make the body joints rigid, it should be just fine
