Way back in 1966 we had the worst blizzard I have ever seen come through western NY.
I can remember opening up the garage door with my dad and only seeing snow. Top to bottom.
It was at least 6' deep all the way to the road.
But what I remember most is the forecast of partly cloudy the day before.
Rumor has is someone called up a popular weatherman the next day to inform him that he just shoveled 4' of partly cloudy out of his driveway. Dave.
O!
And we had no school for a week.

Only got 4" . Enough to break out the snow blower. Between two driveways (1000 ' x 3 passes =3000 ') Just warming up fer "the big one"

So how about it? Subdave, Apis and myself would hire you for that kind of money---.
I'll be happy to come and shovel your driveway for 50 cents. That's not a problem. But let me know where you live so i can figure in the gas to get there and I'll be on my way. Oh! The gas is added to the 50 cents. Pete

Subdave, here in Buffalo, it was the Blizzard of 1977 that paralyzed the area---.

It's still snowing here, by the way---.

Got another 3" or so since I took those photos. Was watching the snowplow a couple hours ago clearing out the street. Now the last few feet of mine and everybody else's driveway is full of nice packed tight snow.

At least it will be easier to drive somewhere, once I can get to the street...

50 Cents? Hey I'll even double it and you'll get a buck.

Of course that's me Apis. Who else would be out lurking in the snow? That's a beautifulpicture and thanks for posting it.
OBW call the town barn and see if they will make you a deal. Otherwise get to work. Ha! Pete

Pete ,don't live near or within a town border. The township here is quite rural and the equipment they have wouldn't even fit in the driveway.( counties in Pa. are divided into smaller regions called townships)
