Interesting. I have found the brass bushing to freeze up also. I may just switch to the plastic bushings that came with the wheels.

Forgot my USB cable again otherwise I would post pics of my Viper. Going to 13s soon...

Paint

Thanks Todd, I wish I had known I have repainted the wing already. The green is a touch lighter but not much. The base color on the bottom of wing would have been nice to have as it is used as the base on the side of fuse. I will have to dull down the paint I currently have. But it is close and I should be able to get this bird back into action shortly. I will be putting a 90mm in it and do some flying to see how it does. Thanks for the offer on the paint Todd. I am copying your lead on the paint as I repair.

thanks Jack, yea I painted for Rich Pandis a couple years
back.

It was at the time Jeff's, he sold to Rich, I painted the fantasy
scheme on it (based on my 109 I built that Dino flew in TG 2008).

Now Jeff has it again LoL

good to see you and your Dad at BITW again

Jeff, Todd,

Frank Tiano just announced there will be a new special award at Fl Jets for the best military scheme applied on a Sport jet. If you guys bring this Viper, you WILL win it... this is just too cool

Jeff, you created the forward hatch design? It looks like in the first pics of the white fuselage it is like mine where there is no access.

Hatch

Funny you should mention that. Right now in my repair job I'm doing the hatch and tightening that up just a little. Yes I added it. Without it you would have to stick batteries in from the nose gear area and that is just not fun. So get your dremel tool out and go for it. If your airframe is not busted up it should be a semi-easy task. And you will have the ability to install your batteries without flipping any thing over and will be more functional as well when at the field. You'll need to add some form of attachment for the forward hatch in order to secure it. I used some ply and made a frame. I also did the same for the fuselage to enable the hook type latches BVM sells to be used as slide forward and snug down on the hatch.

Well good luck on the modification. I did it on my sport shark too and it works great.

I have some more body work on this bird and then it's time for paint and then I can put electronics back in the airframe.

Jeff

Glad to see the Viper come back to life. After my pan caking her when the ESC blew, I wrote this one off for the scrap yard. Keep it up

Hatch

Todd, getting the hatch a little tighter. Not BVM tight but tighter none the less.
