Rob,

Beautiful model and a successful maiden. Well done!

Sounds like your model behaves like the real thing on take off.

Well done both of you! Despite it's good looks, it seems that the plane was not the best one to start a novice on. Perhaps which one is best should go on a new thread!

Actually Mike, I got the recommendation for this kit from the "Favorite Balsa Builds/Planes For Beginners" thread here:

Nice job, Robert! I took my Skua out the other day and had a ball with it. We'll have to let them play together, sometime.

I have three places...

For the smaller and slower stuff, up to the VisionAire and occasionally the PZ T-28 i fly at a field my employer owns, about a mile from the apt. http://goo.gl/maps/2avC3

If it's during the school/work day, when I can be somewhat sure the soccer fields aren't in use; and during the winter, when the county covers the soccer fields in plastic tarp; I go to Bles Park. http://goo.gl/maps/Xaysy

On weekends, I often put 5 of 6 planes in the car and go out to Winchester, where a friend has access to some property that includes a never-finished golf course and access to a lake, for seaplane flying when wind and temps cooperate. http://goo.gl/maps/itY9f

Camel upgrade and radio portal

Switch the Camel over to my Tactic TX650 finally. Upgraded it to 3 cell lipo for a bit more power. had a little trouble getting her trimmed out. She still flys nice though.

I see she's still crazy after all these years! And looking good.
I finally joined the Loudoun County Club and fly at their field out near Leesburg.
