what mini quad are we talking about? I have the RC EYE One from RC Logger and the 1SQ from Helimax. Both rock. The 1SQ is ready for your personal transmitter but you need to buy the AnyLink to make it work. Not a problem, its pretty cheap and works right when you plug it in. The RC EYE One uses a Playstation-style controller so you dont have adjustment on epa and expo, but it really doesnt need any as it is very stable in a hover and can really scoot in forward flight.

RC EYE One is a little heavier, but the same size. Its better for outdoors as it can handle a breeze better due to its mass. Flight times are about the same. Really, you cant go wrong with either of them.

Heres a few pics I took of each one in my little studio. Both are hovering and I used the camera flash to freeze the blades.

so many quads to choose from. I like the looks of the Walkeras and its clones from Nine Eagles. Just dont like the tiny controllers. I have a cheapo solo pro heli and if it had a real TX, id say it would be a better flying heli than the MSR.

This new one from Hobbico seems very good. Tempted a bit by it but I'd need to get a hold of an anylink. The $99 should offer the option of Anylink instead of transmitter. Don't feel like buying it separately at this point.

Those little quads do look cool. I think they look better than the Horizon ones.

Also tempted by the new UMX Sbach with ASX. I guess we'll see what kinds of sales Thanksgiving brings.

I just rebuilt my Sbach 342 AS3X with a new wing and fuselage and am interested in trading it with three new 2S batteries for a Parkzone T-28, Radian, or some other larger electric plane that would handle light wind better. Turns out I'm more of a sport flyer.

Too pricey though. Cool looking yes.

One "foamy" that's got my interest lately is the Dynam Corsair. Nitroplanes had it for as little as $125 delivered. Pretty inexpensive for what looks like a decent little rendition of the corsair. Tempting for a cheap thrill.

No, it's little 3s 24" wingspan thing. Cool but not at $170.

Ahhh... the Edge 540 (not Extra).

I have had such poor luck with the 280 class airplanes; but the video does make a pretty strong case for this one...

Looks like they have others at that same price if you prefer. Like the playmate or the super cub. They all fly "boringly" so I went for one that looked cool (the Albatross) since it's just for lazy indoor flying and I wanted the anylink.

Yep. Much rather have a 32-40" epp for that money. Extra, edge, whatever. My brain is mush.
