I need to withdraw my praise for them admitting there is a problem in the first place.

They admitted there was a problem...good for them. But then they start talking about how this ONLY affects 9x transmitters that have been modded?!? There are literally dozens of people in the discussions section of the product page, talking about issues with ALL JR radios, and STOCK 9x radios.

I don't understand why they would admit to a problem, but then misrepresent what the issue is. The proper response from a business standpoint is either:
A: Deny deny deny (sucks but it happens all the time)
B: Admit to the full extent of the problem and make it right.

This whole "halfway" admitting to an issue is just a middle finger to everyone.

Maybe i'll get lucky and mine will work. It still hasn't arrived yet. I'm not holding my breath though.

If you complain about this service, you'ld probably complain if they hung you with a new rope.

In that case, my original praise for HK still stands! Well done HK, sorry I ever doubted you!

Sounds like it might be a while before it shows up....14 days until they ship it, then shipping time from china. Oh well, at least they're doing something about it!

In the product description under the Discussion tab posted by Hobbyking_Admin:

" You will get an automatic email once the replacement unit is shipped to you and it will include a tracking number. Please understand that we have alot of replacements to process and we're trying to handle it as swiftly as possible."

and the page linked above:

"Additional product specific information.
Product: OrangeRX DSMX/DSM2 2.4Ghz Transmitter Module (JR/Turnigy compatible)
Product ID 9171000070 has been found to have a manufacturing defect and we are replacing them automatically without need for the customer to contact Customer Service.
The manufacturing defect existed only in the first batch of products and recently sold units as well as units being shipped now and in the future do not have this fault."

Hope the new one comes out of back order soon so I can grab one...

Wow, now that IS impressive. Well done to HK, that's exceptional for any RC retailer. Especially at this price point.
