One of the best things about staying on 35mhz (europe) for me is the more of you move to 2.4ghz, the more 35mhz channels are left free for me to invade!!

I would not call them "free".

In good wheather conditions, 35Mhz CB radios from french truckers reflect off of some layers of the atmosphere, and cause severe interference even if you live a country away. I live in such a place.

I now of incidents, where 35Mhz planes simultaneously crashed in places 20km apart.

I've heard of propagation problems on 27MHz but never on 35 although it's in the range where it can happen. Using PCM in the MHz era I never had anything like a glitch.

yeah, but then the french are famous for thinking that everything belongs to them, they haven't figured out that Bonaparte died!! I mean, look what they do to our oranges every summer because they want to sell their own, police not doing anything about it... they even charge you more at the petrol station if you don't have a french registration plate!!

27mhz is a band I stay away from like the plague. All those kiddie RC toys use that frequency, I remember when I was little "borrowing" (he never really used it!! Would have been so much easier and less fights if my parents brought me one instead of yet another Barbie!!) my brothers Nikko car, and I still remember the frequency all these years after: 27.145mhz. A friend last year, this time of year in fact, brought himself his first RC car, a 1/10 nitro one, not bad as a first one, but the people at the shop gave him a stupid 27mhz transmitter for it instead of the stock 2.4ghz. I told him the first thing he should do is get out of that band: either 40 or 2.4... didn't listen until march. Sure enough, come christmas, he was unable to use it because it was constantly crashing!!
