notice the module also only says DSM2 -

The note says "compatible" with DSM2 and DSMX receivers - which really means that the Spektrum DSMX receivers are compatible with a DSM2 transmitter. It does not imply that the transmitter is actually DSMX.

I just ordered a module.
For once the weight is low enough to make the freight cost from HK affordable. Under 100 grams means $3 postage from Hongkong.
Nice to be able to use my transmitter of choice with all the new BNF stuff that keep popping up.
I hate the fact that all 2.4 GHz systems are incompatible. But most BNFs are Spectrum DSM and a few FlySky, so I am good this far. Not that I intend to buy every BNF on the face of the earth, but I would like to be able to.
What I would like is one of the Nine Eagles helicopters, and they are Futaba FAAST.
Sigh...

Offer 4 operating modes: DSM2 1024/22ms, DSM2 2048/11ms, DSMX 22ms, DSMX 11ms

From Hobbyking site.
