Could it overpower the pilot's commands? It'll be quite interesting to see how this thing might navigate around my crazy home...

Actually I'm a bit skeptical about obstacle avoidance technology and even more about the altitude hold system.
The AR Done use them and they are far from being perfect.
Lot of interferences make the gyros go crazy when flying indoors and the system rarely recognizes furnitures or small objects as obstacles.
Outside, you don't really need these systems.

But I'm really excited to try Walkera's stuff! :-)

Walkera is all over the quadcopter trend like no one else. Seems to me what they are aiming for here is a flying robot. I hope it actually works. Shame the canopy is so ugly. I've come to the conclusion that hardest part about manufacturing a quadcopter is the canopy design.

Man they should make this work with the new Devo F7. FPV flying should be good with the new features

Impressive stuff, but I prefer a dumb quad that let's me do most of the flying. No self-stabilizing "6G" system, no altitude hold function, no ability to avoid obstacle, just me doing what I want, i.e. me flying my quad.

lol at the end of the video when they are using there hands to pass it back and forth.

What this would be nice for is an aerial Rovio home security. That reminds me, I have to put my Rovio back together.

Perhaps we are witnessing the beginnings of a new sport.
