My 500 I just won't fly it much at all till I stop having all these little mishaps. Mishaps with 500's and above can put more serious dents in ones pockets

Oh, yeah, the bigger birds fly soooooooo much better though. The micros really get your skills ready for when you fly the bigger birds.
I can't do this because there are no large flying fieds left nearby. In fact, I am thinking of selling my 450. I have been hit by a thrown out blade by my 450. My flying sites are so small that there is no way I can keep it at a safe distance. The site shown in the Helipal video is probably the only site left where you can do some circuits. But even that is a public park that can get crowded with people at times.

I used to fly .30 and .60 nitros (550 and 650 equivalent) with rate gyros nearly 20 years ago. The 0.60 was so stable that I once forgot to turn the gyro on and I only found out after I landed. We had large flying fields then where I also flew planes. But they have now become a large residential developments. The situation is horrendous as far as the lack or flying sites is concerned. Just 3 fields I used got closed last year. Many have put up their large helicopters for sale. If this continues, many vendors will be in serious trouble.

Thread OP
Walkera V450D03 Helicopter Flight (4 min 6 sec)

Here's my flight video. Sorry for the bad flying and pilot errors, but you can see it flies pretty darn good. Electronics shown no issues what so ever. Motor, servos, and ESC came down nice and cool. Nothing was burning hot
Also on Walkera's site the specs show that it is heavier than the D01, but remember guys that the D03 comes with a larger 3s 2600mah pack Larger battery means more flight times which is good for guys who are learning... Read the description for more info and what I talked about D03

I would wait for the V450D03. It is likely to be much more crash resistant than the V450D01 and easier to repair as well.

Does a Devo 10 TX burning out and powering down count? Mine did just that within 2 months.

1st lockouts yours where with WK Rxs this is a Devo Rx lockouts do not seem to be a problems
2ad week motor in your own words this one looks to be different
3rd flying a 450 class helicopter in a small space such as in front of your garage will never be safe
And last I work with a seller who stands behind his products. I call him on the phone tell him the problem and he does what ever it takes to fix it.
Try that with wow hobbies
