Source for wood booms for fpvmanuals tricopter?

I got my tri flying today, and I love it! Despite winds over 15 mph for the maiden, the machine was stable and fun to fly. Unfortunately, I managed to break one of the wooden arms already.

Has anyone got a source for some replacement arms?

Lowes maybe homedepot as well sell 3/8's square poplar and spruce stock is 36 inch lenght's, I used them on mine before switching over to 10mm fiberglass tube W/ 5/16 wood inserts glued in.

"10mm fiberglass tube W/ 5/16 wood inserts glued in"

So do you think the fiberglass tube is stronger and lighter?
How is it working out for you.
Thanks.

The fiberglass is stiffer than wood with or without the insert but weaker, with the wood insert glued in the fibergalss is stronger than the wood arm. as for weight, I think the fibergalss W/ wood insert is slightly heavier... well worth it IMHO.

If you use fibergalss tube on a frame like the FPVmanuals IMHO you MUST add the wood insert, the holes needed for mounting to the frame and the groves that need to be cut for the motor mounts weaken the fiberglass far to much without the wood insert.

So far the arms are working fine, I see no reason to change. The only problem is finding the 10mm fiberglass arms... out of stock EVERYWHERE last I looked

Thanks for the pointers. Do you think the wood or wood/fiberglass will be weak enough in a crash to break before the black delrin plates on the FPManuals? or do you recomend kirfing or notching the wood slightly as someone mentioned in order to form a break point?

It appears that Radical RC has the fiberglass booms used for Slowsitcks:

Has anybody tried joining the wood to fiberglass with the boom joiners also on that website?
