So that I could say: I answered your question in the other thread.

Thanks. And welcome.

I think the sticker denotes a v949 flashed firmware. And those Rev02, 8plug without the sticker, denotes a v929 flashed firmware.
Thanks Daryoon. I actually have been lurking here since August. :P

Anyway, got my 949 today and also got the bent rotor issue.

Exactly like the one I received today. Swap the bent one out with a spare and you should be fine for now. BG has a packaging issue. Email CService@Banggood.com right away.

All 5 of the v949 that arrived locally went through Germany. It took 5 days from when it gets posted in Germany to cross into and through US custom and get to us here in San Diego. I believe it took 3 days total in Germany.

So you'll get it soon.

That said, Heli Pad and I finally got our 3 v949 order. Two out of the three had a bent rotor. Of the 5 v949 order that made it to San DIego, 3 had a bent rotor.

Banggood's customer service has been good in getting that taken cared of that so far, from what I've seen.

Yes I have already emailed BG and attached the photos.

On the positive side, this thing flies really good. Even better than my 4-plug rev.2 V929 and the 8-plug rev.2 V929 board.

Flips are rock solid and almost doesn't loose any altitude at all. It also handles wind better.

One other thing that I've noticed with the TX is that the rudder seems to be not centered - when I apply left rudder, it only takes a bit of stick movement for the quad to respond, but required more movement when you apply right rudder.

Using my old V929 TX, it works fine.

Any of you guys have this same issue?

Drunken Cow

Got my 949 from Banggood today.
This thing - I refuse to call it a quad - it flies like a drunken cow.
Overstabilised - swinging back and forth like a church bell when ail or elev sticks are released to neutral till it's back to level.
Slowest reactions to the sticks - like my old DH 9116ies. Even @ 100% it needs half a second to react..... poor.
No, its not the tx - tried my 929TX and th9x - same behaviour.
Useless thing. Candidate for cannibalising.
Board:
2012/07/30 REV:02
JR-WL-FD02R-1
A-Sticker on chip.

Complete opposite to my enhanced 8-plug 929 board from BG
2012/07/22 REV:01
JR-WL-FD02R-1
This is stable, but really accurate on the sticks - no accidental flips @ 100%

VERY dissapointed

I will try mine outdoor tomorrow for the first time.
Until now, indorr, it was looking reactive to sticks movement.
Only 40% or more, 20% is unusable.

Thanks, I'll try that.
But it feels wrong to have to correct firmware flaws with the possibilities of a third party TX and have to pay 40 $ to do so....

LOL!!!

Yup, I kind of had the same experience. Same board as yours, bent freaking prop, and pulls/flies in the direction of the right front boom. I tried like hell to trick the board by binding it while tilted in that direction, but still could'nt get it to hover in place. I wound-up using trim on the stock Tx to get it to do so.

The little thing is to busy trying to get itself level. I do however love the lights, and the canopy's pretty cool. Oh, and the bent prop deal...yea I dropped the little freaking screw and lost it. I'll give her a second chance whenever this storm blow's by.

I tried my 949 outdoor for the first time today.
I don't have my 929 yet, so I can't compare them.
949 looks really stable, no wobbling, or at least no unrecoverable wobbling.
It hovers very well, I did not take the time, but I left it in mid air in front of me for at least 40 seconds without touching the remote, then it slowly started to loose height.
Going around slowly was great, but I have to admit then when I started to go faster, things went worse.
Now I look froward to receive 929, so I can compare them.

Just got my 949. Some said it does not have accelerometers, but this thing definitely auto-levels. I am glad I have an MQx. This thing flies nothing like that. It's easier to fly, but the auto level also makes it over compensate and slide in directions you dont want in turns. I am flying around trees and houses so this is not desireable. I LOVE the lights for flying at night though. I am very happy with it, but it is no MQX. Does the 929 fly like an MQX?
