Rcm plans still waiting

Have anyone got any plans from them lately? I have had a set on order since 22 of Aug, know they can be slow but has anybody received theirs and how long did it take

Wow, I never knew they were so slow. I guess I can't expect my Seamaster plans before Christmas

I ordered a set of plans 15 February of this year. The tube was post marked 21 March, and I believe I got them about a week or so after that...
I was definitely not impressed delivery time, and even less impressed with the lack of response from e-mails.

RCM might have a nice selection of plans, but it is almost not worth the frustration.

I rarely found any plans service to be fast.

4-6 weeks, I can understand. No response to email almost 2 months later with no plans while they have my money doesn't make me feel too warm and fuzzy towards them. Odds are I'm out $42 I spent and will never see the plans I ordered. I hope I'm wrong.

I don't think 4-6 weeks is acceptable anymore. Most plans are digital, it takes max 5 minutes on a high end laser plotter, 10 minutes with an older one.
If its a copier, even less time.

Their plans are not digital and likely won't be.

I ordered 2 plans from them about 3 years ago. I finally got them 9 WEEKS after I ordered. There is absolutely no reason it should take 9 DAYS to ship a few plans. I learned my lesson and won't order from them again.

The plans will not be in stock. The only thing in stock is the masters. I am sure they do not have the ability to duplicate them. These facilities are very expensive and they are also going away. They might have to travel some distance to get it done.

They most likely process orders in batches to control costs. at least that is what I would if I had a plans service.

They should warn customers so they know what to expect. Especially today in the age of instant gratification. I bet the copiers are becoming few and far between.

If you pay to have them scanned to a memory stick at somewhere like Staples they charge well under $1 to do it. Then you have a PDF that lasts forever and can be printed on a large-format copier or plotter. I do this myself for my drawings, even to build a model from enlarged 3-views.

sluggish plans

I consider myself lucky to have a competent office supplier willing and capable to do this.

But the machines are wearing out,paper is getting expensive,and the folks who were so enthusiastic about their jobs at first are becoming less so.

I think I'd be asking in the classifieds if anyone wants to sell a set.
of plans.I guess it's legal to sell your own stuff..

My service is 25 miles away,and I'd wait also,to copy several sets before making the trip.

Not happy with RCMPlans.

Soooo frustrating! Ordered a set of G55 Centauro plans on Sept 25th and it has been processing and shipping since Sept 26th. Emailed twice with no response and nobody answers there phone. They have my money and I don't have my winter project
I agree ClipperBill, hopefully we are wrong about getting taken and our winter projects can start real soon.
