I think the pixie is programmable for different cut offs...

Lithiums can't be discharged past 3v per cell, if it goes below 3v per cell (6v for 2s, 9 for 3s) permanent damage can be done to the cell...

it is programable for different cut offs...its just that...their recomendation is 4.7 volts for 2 cell lithium on the pixie 7 and 6.0 volts which to me is correct on the pixie 20.

This has nothing to do with Radios so I'll move it to Power Systems where it may get more attention.

The factory set LVC's are 4.7V for the older, non-programmable Pixie 20 and for the Pixie 7P, and 5.0V for the Pixie 20P.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I've had correspondence with Castle Creations over the peculiar 4.7V recommendation for the Pixie 7P and they admitted that it was an error and that they would correct it to 6V [matching the info for the Pixie 20P] in their new instruction sheets. You may get away with 5V for 2s, but obviopusly you need 8V minimum if you are using 3s.

I'll tell you why there's a difference: There is no hard-and-fast law that says 3.0 Volts per cell is the cutoff for LiPolys. Right now, it's the general consensus that 3.0 Volts per cell should be the cutoff for LiPolys.
