Retract video

Set digital camera to movie - download to computer - go to reply to thread - advanced - attachment - choose file. A little bit hairy the first time but I'm sure you will get it.

Thanks to Doug the second gear is now functioning. Has to be perfect when running off one channel and a Y cable. I had induced some bind when installing. Works great now.
I have installed and set the flaps and ailerons with proper throws.
Next on the list is sheeting the bottom of the wing.

Some video of them in operation would be nice. Not very often do we see high quality work like this in operation....

It looks like the consortium may have to get together, and pool some more talents and get some vids up. Heehhee.
Try to be patient folks, it will happen when we're ready. lol Doug B

Sorry jt No cannon noises or blinky lights, I've already used all 9 channels and a couple of mixes. I'd need one of those new 18chan thingies!!hehe.
I do have the bombay opening but don't have a chan to drop my 2- 250lb bombs, they are there, just not going anyplace. Ken will be using an 8chan, and Paul has a 9, so I'm not sure what they have up their sleeves!!
I made up several "Y" connectors for the double servo connections, now I find I need one "W" (3 leads to 1) for LG. All in the fun, right. Doug B

If you can't find a 3 way lead, I'd be happy to make one for you when my next refill of servo wire and connectors comes (I have a crimper)

Thankyou for the kind offer, Endlesslag. I have all the necessary supplies and tools. I use 22 ga JR coded wire. I'll make up a 3to1 lead shortly. Doug B

I created a movie of the gear, flaps and ailerons working, but it won't upload. It is a .mov file and is 99Mb. How do I edit to another format and reduce the quality so it will upload?

Here's the action movie. I had to upload to YouTube, here's the location.

Ken,

pretty nice. I never realized that small movement at the servo would translate to so much travel at the wheels.

One question for you guys, what locks the wheels down to take the stress off the servo? Is there overtravel in that pivot point on the diagonal arm?

Yes, over travel at the pivot point with a metal stop.
