X-Shuttle, my wing for night (and not only) flying - plans

I want to build a flying wing for the evening flight.
At this point, I'm after maiden flight. The prototype is built of foam insulation.
The target model will be made of white 6mm depron because I want to insert into the LED lights.
A few photos of construction.
I started from the wing of the space shuttle and i put thick profile.

And some pictures from building.
Building is very simple. The plane has only a few parts. Stiffness is results from the shape of the fuselage.

CoG i 17cm from the engine mount.

That glides empty plane. Without any additional weight!
X-Shuttle - Glide tests (0 min 40 sec)

Engine mount

And this is The Maiden
X-Shuttle Maiden Flight (6 min 5 sec)

My equipment:
engine emax cf2812
prop APC 7x4
accu 3S850mAh
weight to fly 350gram

Plans in post #13

Robertus:

That is amazing. It glides like a feather and tracks like an arrow. Beautiful in its simplicity of design. You have another winner sir...

Now, the wing loading is only 12grams/dm2, its about 4oz/ft2
I can add a lot of lights without excessive loss of flight parameters.

X-shuttle

Hi Robertus, beautiful, design, and model. What a great flier, great video.May I ask if the wing loading figure is of the model without gear (motor, battery etc) or ready to fly. Cheers

i can't learn fast enough
Really nice job.
Is that the new green foam?.
Friend of mine gave me a couple of sheets, but it seemed kinda heavy.
Will you be making plans available?
I like the way you blended the topside to the wing.
Keep us informed, and again nice job.

They had loads of that green foam available over here in the UK around 18 months ago i didnt pick any up because i prefer depron but it looked good enough.

Very nice build Robertus

I want to fly at dusk. Sometimes in the dark.
I would like to use the neon wires. Such as these.

But I wonder if they will visible at dusk (at sunset) enough.

Awesome design robertus, that X shuttle tracks perfectly. I need another go fast project, will you be posting drawings?
BTW, my buddy flies a Stryker with lights similar to those in the picture, they give off plenty of light for flying at dusk.

Glad to hear it. I've just ordered neons.

I disassembled the prototype and I took the picture cross section. Note how I trimed foam.

The battery bay is not tested yet.
Plans
