Thank you Steve. The bezels are laser cut from a material called ADA Alternative which is a plastic specially formulated for laser cutting. A tad pricey but I've not found anything which works nearly as good for the job. Here's the panel as it will come in the kit. (With the exception of a few minor details)

I get my ADA from Johnson Plastics bsbauman. They have a Georgia location as well.

I'm sure it's available from other sources although it quite possibly could be under some other name.

Nice, they are not far from me (in Lawrenceville).

I have been going through their stock; which plastic do you work with from them? They seem to have an overwhelming number of plastic for sale.

The only materials I have used bsbauman are from the Rowmark range to include the ADA, LaserMARK, and LaserLIGHTS. They have a ton of others that sound very interesting but thus far I have not had reason to expiriment with anything beyond those mentioned.

Scratch Build 1/9 scale SBD Cockpit

I did this a while back but thought it was worth a post. This was my first ever attempt at a scratch build cockpit although I've been modeling quite a while. Everything here is hand fabricated from either balsa or ABS and I think it came out pretty well. I only wish the AC had flown as good as it looked.

Cheers

WOW!!,

You guys are masters.... making me feel very lame in the cockpit area. I suppose I need to step up my game a bit and make myself do some decent detail work in the cockpit of my current build.

Again fantastic work....
