Velcro works just fine if applied correctly. Don't just stick it, strap it.
There's no possible in-flight loading that can remove it, and I want
it to come off in a big enough crash (although it usually doesn't).

Wow that is quite the mount you have there. Im using the QAV500 Frame and it will have a strap around it to hold it in place, Just seems wierd to have it just out in the open. Guess its just me not wanting to loose this nice new camera.

That anti-vibe mount works really well. I always cringe when I see
crazy jello on multi-rotor footage knowing it can be cured so cheaply and easily.

My Hero2 survived a 630 foot fall, and drowning, with nothing but a lens protector. Still going.

mine survived a 600' fall down a cliff when my heli crashed into the side. all in pieces, memory card and battery ejected. took 2 days of searching to find all the parts. put the card back in, battery back in and it works perfect.

So the go pro is not fragile unprotected is what i hear? This is my first one. I'd assume it is pretty strong for what it is, but have not wanted to test it out to find out. lol

Hi, I just got my Hero3 Black Edition and I was going through the settings and all.
First of I noticed that the body gets warm after 5 minutes or so, is that normal?

Second, I tried to video test and it only records 8sec.
Next the Wi-Fi to Iphone APP is not available till mid December, (I'm ok with that)

And then sometimes it locks up, I have to remove the battery and reboot.

Can anyone help me here.
Thanks

1. Yes it's normal to warm up.
2. Did you update the firmware? Class 10 micro-SD card?
3. Did you update the firmware, or read any of this thread?

no trouble with mine yet.
Did some indoor quad flying at 1080 30fps and the light quality looks better than the GP2 I used before.
Still only a few recordings in but no lock ups yet.

wow the difference between original and 1080 is very noticeable.
Not seen "original" come up on youtube before. Must have a go at that.

Does anyone happen to know if there is any shutter lag between the time you press the button on the wifi remote, and when a picture is taken, or video is started. Is there a delay, or is it pretty much instant?
