Anyone else starting to think that Dag could build a real life warp speed capable starship ala "Zephram Cochrane" if he put his mind to it?

All I need is 6 "D" size batteries each with the power of the sun to create a gravitational force strong enough to pull two points in space together and then simple move a few 100 yards and you have in reality jumped a few 100 light years. Very simple to do, but Hobby King is back ordered on the 6 "D" size batteries..... I then considered the Nerva nuclear engine, but Barry gave all the energy breaks to Tesla Motors..........

That's like the a Sci Fi short story I read a number of years ago... The U.S. government gathered together hundreds of scientists, doctors, inventors, etc. and showed them a very grainy film of a Russian anti-gravity platform that hovered for a few minutes then blew up. Everybody "knew" that anti-gravity was impossible, but the Russians had done it, the film proved it, so they all put their heads together, and invented an anti-gravity platform...It had been done, so it could be done again....Just goes to show what could be done if people say it can be done....

I have this "science of star trek" book that postulates that even if you could solve the energy problem inherent in warping space/time.. whatever was behind the starship (like a planet possibly?) might get squashed by the warp field effect, or something like that. Just a teeny little sidetrack to the thread . Rock on!
