Avonds Rafale or Grumania Eurofighter for 110 fan

I have been looking at both of these planes for my next project. I'm trying to stay around 15 pounds or lighter. EDF unit will be a Stumax 110-52 (1915 - 1.5Y) I got in a trade with a CC 110 HV ESC. The rest of the gear will be as light as possible (wire landing gear (dressed as struts), electric retracts, Zippy Compact 5800 12S batteries). I was wondering between the 2 planes which has the better flying characteristics, etc.

Paint scheme on the Eurofighter will be the Swiss Red/White that CARF has in their Eurosport Evolution. The Rafale will be in the White/Blue Avonds paint scheme.

I vote for the Grumania Eurofighter.

My opinion is that on the Eurofighter you will have a lower wing loading in general, so...less restriction on weight, but if you go heavier on the Rafale you will see the difference more.
I don't know the exact dimension of the Eurofighter compared to the Rafale but if you want to see an Eurofighter look here:

you can also find some video with different fan configuration (2x90, 110, etc...)

The Eurosport has 48" WS x 62" Long ( 1220 mm x 1550 mm ) and finished weight is around 15.4 pounds ( 7000grams ). The Rafale has 50 " WS x 70" long ( 1260 mm x 1780 mm ) and the finished weight is around 16 pounds also. I guess this will be a matter of flying characteristics and looks be because both planes are pretty much identical in weight and measurements. The Rafale is a bigger plane and that is now tilting the scale a bit. I'm waiting in the quote for the Eurosport and I will have a decision.

I just received the Grumania 1/10 Eurofighterhttp://www.grumania.com/xtcommerce/Jet-model-kits/1/10-Eurofighter:::2_9.html .Very nice fibre glass layup . No ducts intake are provided with this jet. I order the Schubeler HST 77 and some nice former xtra to be able to remove the wings .
The service from Ilja is top notch.
I will start building the jet in the winter. It's NOT an ARF

Yes...but I think that the Eurosport has a larger wing area thus a lower wing load

I decided on the Eurosport. The Avonds Rafale empty fuselage is 3.5kg and given the fact that the Stumax 110-52 is not one of the most powerful fans out there I will like to assemble the lightest plane. The way I assemble them is either 1:1 power/thrust ratio or even higher. I have a 21 pound plane with a 25 pounds of thrust fan. That way I can take off from grass with no problem and cruise at 1/2 - 3/4 power and take dives at full power just for fun!!

Once I get the plane and some time off from work I will start and do a build thread.
