Back in the action...

Hi gang,

I've had a decidedly long absence from aerial photography but I'm back at it. I threw the razor 300 onto the slow stick and took some shots today. Granted, the focus needs to be adjusted a bit, but here are a few of the more noteworthy shots. These are untouched aside from shrinking to make them postworthy.

First, a view of part of downtown Kamloops. Yes, we've moved since my last aerial photography session.

Here's my typical climb-to-altitude angle - vertical The camera is looking out the left wing, by the way.

This highway runs behind our place, about 2-300 feet away

Here's a view of a few ball diamonds, about a 4 block walk away from our place. The middle one is where my most recent Attitude video footage was shot

Now for a few less-than-stellar, possibly amusing shots. Here's the best and only shot I got of our place. It's the house just left of center.

Here's the best I could do for a self-portrait. Note the perfect timing between Christine snapping the picture and my flicking the switch

Here's the same moment from the other perspective. Wow! It's like being there in stereo, isn't it?

Here's the final picture and an homage to the quiet comfort of flying the Slow Stick while taking pictures. I'll get out more often - I promise

I've got to go brushless... some day, some day.

Great pics!!!

BTW, downtown has a somewhat different meaning where I live... translates roughly to smog, noise, traffic, crowd, and some other bad words I'd better leave out.

By the pics this seems to be a very nice place to live!

Burninating some electrons I see.

What sort of elevation change do you have from the river and valley up to the surrounding ridges and mountains?

Gustavo, it is a nice sized town. It's not so big that we get the big city stuff like the smog, etc.

Karl, the highest peaks locally (as shown in picture #6) would be about 2000 feet above the valley floor, or about 3000 feet ASL.
