I used to say 'Nim' with a silent H but when nobody knew what I was talking about, so I say Nickel Hydride now.

How about LiFe/LifePO4?

I normally just say Life on that one.

Radio? Screwdriver!
I believe it's free sky, as their slogan is "your free sky".

However I often hear it pronounced as F R Sky.

It was originally "Frisky", supposed to be pronounced "Free-sky" but usually came out sounding like a pet food.

They dropped the "i" but kept the slogan "Your Free Sky".

I pronounce it F R Sky.

Probably best to capitalize the R to minimize confusion with FlySky and the tendency of some people to call it "FrySky" (which sounds like a flying skillet)!

As for NiMH, I say N I M H or nickel metal hydride.

hmm...seems like the more "professional" sounding way is
Ef Ar Sky...although it almost sounds angry... "Eff our sky, man!"

It doesn't roll off the tongue as well as Friskie, but doesn't sound as "cheap" as Free Sky, and Fur Skee sounds a bit Russian...Fur Sky is also a bit cumbersome.

Oh, and I used to say nickel metal hydride and it never occurred to me to shorten it to nickel hydride...think i'll use that one now.

F-R-sky, two letters and the word sky is what I use when talking with flying buddies so it doesn't get mixed up with FlySky.

I've heard it called "friskie" and that's how I pronounce it. Hard to mix with FlySky.
