Habu 2 v Tomahawk viper jet

I know there are dedicated threads to the Habu 2 but i am looking for a specific answer to a question.I can only fly hand launch jets at my flying field and was wondering if the Habu 2 is suitable for hand launching?
I know the Tomahawk Viper jet is easy to hand launch, it has a wingspan of 1040mm,length 970 mm and weight 980g.
The Habu 2 is,wingspan 920mm,Lenth 1100mm and weight 1470g.
I dont really want to go down the bungee route if possable.

Can anybody help me with this question as im about to order one or the other.

One other point is,i fly alone alot and need to be able to launch myself.

I haven't flown either of these, but I will be buying the Viper in a month or two. From the research I've done and the videos I've seen, the Viper is much easier to hand launch and has much better flying characteristics. Slow speed handling is also far superior to the Habu. And overall precision is better.

For me, the Viper wins hands down.

I used to fly a stock 4s habu 2 and yes it can be hand launched. It must be a very firm toss in to the wind at full throttle with 1/2 flap. When I say firm, you will want someone else to do it. Even then, I would find myself grazing the top of the grass before getting in the air. Now with my new 5s setup, I doubt that will be an issue. Once in the air, the habu 2 is a great flier. She will go very slow with full flaps for landing and is quite agile. The stock setup gives very little vertical performance however. BUT she is very easy to upgrade.

if you decide to get the habu, buy the airframe ($99) and build it up from there

Thanks for the replies. I have gone for the Habu 2,mainly because spares are readily available in the UK. I should have it within the next couple of days.
